🎥 Fallon Filming Guidelines for Deep Dive Sessions
Thank you for creating your deep dive session for Fallon. To keep content consistent, evergreen, and professional, please follow these simple filming guidelines, any questions, please get in touch at: wellness@fallonsway.com.
Before filming, we ask that you please let us know the main title of your session. This ensures your video fully aligns with Fallon’s ethos and avoids clashing with any other expert’s masterclass content.
Think of the title as the clear “doorway” into your video — it gives viewers an immediate sense of what they’ll gain, even if your content explores connected themes once you dive deeper.
For example:
• Title: How to Use Nutrition to Help with Hormones
• Content: The video may also touch on digestion, energy, or mood, but the anchor topic is nutrition and hormones.
Once your title is confirmed with us, you’ll have freedom to shape your content within that framework.
Content Style
• Evergreen: Please avoid references to specific dates, seasons, or time-limited events.
• Neutral Language: Share insights, techniques, and education — avoid making medical promises or guaranteed results.
• No Direct Product Promotion: Don’t endorse or “sell” a product within the video. (We can include links to your website, socials, or products in the description separately).
• Inclusive: Please frame your advice in a way that applies to most age ranges, and both men and women where possible.
Video Length
• Target: 5–12 minutes per video.
• Enough time to deliver a full idea or technique, but short enough to remain engaging and re-watchable.
Technical Setup
🎤 Audio
• Where possible, use a clip-on (lavalier) or plug-in microphone rather than relying on the camera or phone’s built-in mic. An external microphone reduces echo and background noise, making your voice sound sharper and more professional.
• Clear audio is just as important as clear visuals. If you don’t have one, choose a quiet space, close doors and windows, and silence any nearby devices to minimise distractions, like fans for example.
🎬 Quality
• Minimum 1080p HD recording. Most modern phones automatically meet this — check your settings.
🎥 Video
• Record in landscape orientation (horizontal).
• Keep background uncluttered, calm, and aligned with Fallon’s aesthetic (neutral, minimal, clean).
• Use natural light if possible (face a window, avoid bright light behind you). • Place your phone/camera on a stable tripod or stand at eye level.
• Frame yourself from the chest up (medium close-up) or wider if demonstrating movement.
Indoor vs. Outdoor Filming
Whenever possible, film indoors. Indoor spaces offer more control over sound and lighting, reducing background noise and distractions. Natural daylight from a window can look excellent if it lights your face evenly, but avoid sitting with a window directly behind you, as this will cause strong shadows and silhouetting. Outdoor filming is only recommended if you are confident managing light and background conditions—otherwise, it may be harder to achieve a professional look.
Framing & Distance
Please position yourself centred in the frame and sit at roughly arm’s-length from the camera—around 1 metre (3–4 feet). This distance avoids distortion while keeping you in clear focus and creates a natural, documentary-style look. If possible, leave some space between yourself and the background to create depth and separation, which helps you stand out visually.
Presentation Tips
• Smile & be natural — imagine you’re talking to one person who really needs your advice. • Structure: Brief intro → main teaching → recap or takeaway.
• Keep pace clear and conversational, avoiding jargon where possible.
• End with an actionable insight (e.g., a mindset shift, reflection, or simple daily practice). Please use one of the below to start before introducing yourself:
“Welcome to Fallon.”
“Hello Fallon friends.”
“Hi there, and welcome to Fallon.”
“Hello friends, welcome to Fallon.”
“Welcome, Fallon community.”
“Hi, Fallon friends — let’s get started.”
✨Then flow straight into:
“My name is [Name], I’m a [Profession], and I’m certified in [Certification – if appropriate].” That way every class feels cohesive and branded, but still warm and personal.
